Holidays in the Serviten Quarter
You know you have arrived in historical Vienna upon taking one step into the Best Western Premier Harmonie Vienna. The two houses in Harmoniegasse number 5 and 7 were built 150 years ago in 1863 by the famous Austrian architect and city planner Otto Wagner (1841-1918). The Harmoniegasse was one of his early works. His art nouveau buildings such as the Steinhof church and the Postsparkasse were precursors for European modern art and made Wagner world famous.
The Best Western Premier Harmonie Vienna is located close to many famous Viennese sights. If you feel like taking a pleasant walk starting at the hotel you can reach the Votive church in just a few minutes. The Ringstraße with its famous sights such as Vienna City Hall, Burgtheater, the Parliament and other buildings worth seeing is just a ten minute walk away. Take a stroll through the Volksgarten park and you will see the impressive Imperial Palace. If you continue to walk towards the inner city you will experience the shopping streets Kohlmarkt and Graben on the way and finally arrive at St. Stephen’s Cathedral.
