Pentecost events in Vienna
A diverse programme in the flower-filled Austrian capital
When the Augarten, the Green Prater and the area in front of Schönbrunn Palace are all a mass of colourful blooms, you know that spring has come to Vienna. The abundant peonies, known to locals as “Whitsun roses”, symbolise the festival of Pentecost and the gradual transition from cool spring to warmer summer. Vienna has plenty to offer in the season of Pentecost. It is the perfect time to spend a couple of days on holiday in the Austrian metropolis with your partner, family or friends!
